Small dogs are simply trained and it requires only a small amount of constant effort to house train them. These are a couple pointers that can help you if this is your situation.
When dogs take in food, they don’t excrete anything. I’m not telling you not to give them food. The opposite of this is that if you don’t let them take in food, they don’t excrete anything.
Make a time to feed your dog. They need to eat two times a day. After thirty minutes, let them go outside for a walk.
A schedule to let them eat is very crucial. If you do this, their body will get used to it and then they will be ready to go when you take him for a walk.
While you are house training your dog, you need to be sure that he isn’t peeing in the house. You could just not give him any water.
That’s just a joke. They would be unkind. Small dogs should go outside every 3 to 4 hours. The older they get the better their bladder can hold it.
As he grows, you can take him out only every 5 hours. After some time, he will be able to work around your work times and not pee inside while you are away.
We both acknowledge that he may still accidentally use the bathroom inside while you are training him, even though you have some knowledge.
With little dogs, you can only punish them if you see them in the act.
If you are not home all day and come back to urine by the back door, you shouldn’t get them in trouble or put their nose in it.
You can’t be certain of when it happened and the puppy may not remember if it was hours ago.
So, they won’t know why they are being disciplined. When this happens, clean up the urine and keep taking them out when they are used to being taken out.
