Everybody love to keep a dog, but then you have to give more attention if you intend to have a dog. Even before you decide to bring a dog home from pet store, you need to know what to expect from the dog.

Only to decide what breed the dog is, also need consideration for it. This is the matter of the dog personality because they will live with us for the rest of their life. There are few thing to consider before you decide to keep a dog as mentioned by The American Kennel Club.

1. Temperament. Dog also have their own personality, just like human being. They can stay with you up to 15 years, so, make sure that you choose the personality that suits you. Are they active, or lazy? Are they easy to train, or they have strong will? Are they friendly to anyone they meet, or mean?
2. Training. Every dogs need training, but there are certain breed that more active than others. And some puppies need more attention from the family, and need a routine activity to prevent them from bored. Other dogs prever to be lazy in their couch.
3. Size. Are you hooked to cute puppy that your friend offer you? Sure you can. But remember, puppies grow fast. You better ask someone or your friend, pet store, or wherever you get your puppies from, just how big the dogs would be when they grow up. And keep in mind that bigger dog needs bigger spaces and more food. And smaller puppies need a lot of spaces where they can running here and there.
4. Long hair or short hair? As you know, dogs also need some care, and most of them have falling fur. Puppies with thin fur will look cute, but you will need to give them extra treatment to keep the fur always smell good and not easy to fall. At lest you have to give bath them often. It’s easier to take care of dog with short hair.
5. Foods. Village dogs may eat your remain foods. But if you treat your breed puppies like that, their physic quality will get down after a while. For example, their hair will get dry and smelly. That is why, when you buy dogs from certain breed, make sure you can afford to buy them the food that they need. Ask from the pet store, what kind is the best food for your puppy.
